It Is Not Normal For Gums to Bleed

Gums bleed for a reason and that reason is usually not good. Healthy gum tissue doesn’t just bleed for no reason. It is like the skin on you hand, it is not normal for it to bleed. Likewise, bleeding gums are abnormal.

Barring physical trauma, your gums should not bleed. If your gums bleed during brushing or flossing that is classicaly a sign of gum disease. And gum disease is not great fun.

Many people suffer from gum disease. And you need to be aware of it. The reason for this is that a lot of people have peridontal disease which is also known as gum disease. The really sad part is that many do not realize that they have gum disease.

Gingivitis can lead to tooth loss in the advanced stages. But do you know that an awful lot of people suffer from bleeding gums and they still don’t understand that they have gum disease. At the same time, you can have periodontal diseaese and your gums may not bleed. So you can’t rely on the fact that you haven’t experiened any bleeding of the gums to be conclusive of anything.

I would hazard a guess that you don’t want to lose your teeth and if you have lost some, you probably would like to keep the rest?

No one could blame you? I wish to keep my teeth as well and that is part of why I continue to inform others about it. I feel that people should have more awareness of this insidious problem.

The gum tissue is vulnerable, think about how much food you eat. Do you floss and brush regularly? If you do, that’s great, but did you know that brushing and flossing is not insurance that you won’t get gum disease.

There are many people who still develop gum disease even with proper brushing and flossing, scary, isn’t it. It would be to your benefit to stop bleeding gums from developing into greater problems.
