Save The Environment

www.actualglobe.com is a website where some of the latest blogs deal with environment. We, human beings have taken our environment for granted, not realizing that we are digging our own graves. It is time we thought more of the world we live in.

With the festival of Christmas just around the corner, people are out shopping for family and friends, often wondering what would be the best present to get without emptying the pocket.

Gifts made of natural stuff which is organic and biodegradable will certainly assist us in our fight to save our environment. T shirts made of natural matter are available and these are not very expensive. Coloring stuff and books for young ones can have environment as their themes. Gifting bead necklaces, bracelets and other things also makes sense as these beads are biodegradable. Perhaps the best gift would be to grow a tree in the recipient’s name. It would be unique and unforgettable besides being good and different. Young plants or seeds are available in the local nurseries.

Those of us who love to cook can bake cakes; make sauces or some food items to gift to our friends. These can be placed in a biodegradable and non toxic container and presented. Cute containers are also available in several shops and stores.

There have been climatic changes round the world. More cyclones, typhoons, monsoon fury and the like are seen. This is because we, human beings have spoilt our environment by cutting down trees indiscriminately. A lot of trees need to be cut down so that people can use paper napkins, paper plates and cups, newspapers and the like. Each item means the felling of so many trees.

If we decide to use washable napkins instead of disposable paper napkins, if we use normal plates and cups instead of paper ones, if we slow down on newspapers or recycle them, we should be making some progress. With Halloween just gone and Christmas fast approaching, there is much party stuff made of paper which is lying unutilized. We can use it for Christmas instead of buying new things. Or use biodegradable matter which will cut down on tree cutting numbers.

We can send our invitations through email or mobile messages to save on paper. We can limit our use of paper in our houses so that fewer trees will be cut and we will save them and our environment. We can use biodegradable containers for the cakes, pastry and sauces which we cook to present to our friends during the festive season. Lovely boxes are also available at the stores.

Another blog on this website talks about the disparity in the world. There are several poor nations which depend on the richer ones for their sustenance. And the rich ones are mainly concerned about their own economic conditions forgetting that the world today has shrunk and whatever happens in one part of the world also affects the rest. Everyone has to be together, sharing joys and sorrows instead of quibbling and being at loggerheads.
