Starcraft 2 is a military science fiction strategy game. This game has been designed for the computer and is the sequel to the hit computer game Starcraft. The creation of the game was first announced in 2007 but there is no set release date for the game. This action game was designed for both Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Many of the features found in the original Starcraft game can be found in the new version. For example we have the return of the three races, Protoss, Terrain, and Zerg. The storyline for the second Starcraft game is set four years after Starcraft: Brood War. While there have been many changes and improvements to the game there are some features of the game that have remained the same and several characters have returned. For example a new of heroes and villains have returned from the first game. This allows people to continue from the original game and still have an understanding of who the characters are and what has happened in the past.

There have been new additions made to the game however. For example, the Terrans are relatively newcomers to the Korpulu sector. This group have become masters of survival because they have had to survive many harsh elements after they are forced to fend for themselves when they are left stranded and lost after an expedition. They do not have any technology and no natural powers to rely on. Instead they are made up six mixed units that range from basic to very complex and heavily armed. They rely on plenty of armour and ammunition to stand up to the other groups.

Both Starcraft and Starcarft 2 are really standing out as one of the first games that use cut-scenes and the beautiful cinematics. This allows the game to unfold at a higher scale and player can stop and review parts of the game that they have played so that they can really see what happened. Starcraft 2 allows player to find other equally able players to play against, which is a feature that has many players excited. Starcraft enthusiasts around the world are excited about now being able to play against other people all over the world. While there is no release date for the game yet, creators of the game hope that it will be released worldwide on the same day.

This game has been designed solely for a private home computer only. There have been no plans as of yet to create a version of this game that can be played in a gaming console. Creators of the game feel that they would live to keep this game as a computer game only.
